Peabody Loves a Parade

Applications are available for those who want to take part in the Peabody Centennial Parade next year.

Peabody is celebrating its 100th anniversary as a city in 2016.

As part of that celebration, there will be Centennial Parade on Oct. 2, 2016.

The Centennial Parade Committee has announced that applications to take part in the parade are now available at www.peabody100.com.

In staying with the centennial theme, the parade committee is suggesting possible themes such as George Peabody, 1916, the leather industry, agriculture, or period costume from 100 years ago.

The entry fee for all units is $25, payable to the Peabody Centennial Committee.

Those who wish to take part can register online or return the completed application to Centennial Parade Committee, 82 Main Street, Peabody, MA 01960.
