Peabody Man Arrested for Murder in Connection With the Beating Death of His Estranged Wife

When their son hadn't heard from his mother, he went to his father's home and saw evidence of a violent struggle and called police.

Joseph Buonanduci, 46, was arrested for murder in connection with the beating death of his estranged wife Donna Buonanduci, 45, according to authorities.

At approximately 9 Friday night, Peabody Police responded to a 911 call to 5 Putnam Road. They discovered the victim’s body in the home and the suspect was at-large in the victim’s car. It was reported that the victim had gone to her estranged husband’s home earlier in the day. When their son hadn’t heard from his mother, he went to his father’s home and saw evidence of a violent struggle and called police.

State Police took suspect into custody at 9:55 Saturday morning on 495 north in Amesbury near exit 55 after a high speed chase.

The suspect is at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport for treatment of injuries, and is expected to be arraigned in Peabody District Court on Monday.

The Essex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to Essex DA’s office and Peabody Police are investigating.
