Peabody Man, Son Held Without Bail After Starbucks Armed Robbery
Wallace H. Nickerson, 60, of Peabody and William M. Nickerson, 37, of Revere, are being held without bail following their arrest Saturday.

UXBRIDGE, MA -- Wallace H. Nickerson, 60, of Peabody and William M. Nickerson, 37, of Revere, pleaded not guilty Monday in Uxbridge District Court to charges stemming from a Saturday night robbery of a Starbucks in Sutton. The father and son were ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Friday morning. Police say William Nickerson pointed a gun at an employee transferring money to a safe at around 7:20 pm Saturday and said "Can you give me that?"
William Nickerson fled with between $800 and $1,500 and got into a care being driven by his father, according to police reports. Northbridge Police pulled the black Cadillac over a short time later, but the car fled. Moments later, the police officer found himself facing the car, which had turned around in a driveway. The Cadillac and the cruiser crashed head on, causing minimal damage to both vehicles.
A search of the vehicle turned up the cash believed to have been stolen from the Starbucks, a cap gun and alcohol. William Nickerson told police he and his father had been staying at a hotel in the area so he could be closer to his job.
