Peabody Men Finish Strong in Boston Marathon

and ran in Monday's Boston Marathon to support the New England Organ Bank and Citizens for Adequate Housing, Inc., respectively, and both runners finished with very respectable times.

According to results posted by Boston Marathon race officials, Friedberg, 67, of West Peabody finished the 26-mile race at 4 hours, 36 minutes and 53 seconds. He finished his third Boston Marathon 21,096 overall and 12,413 for the males.

Mike Gilligan, 41, finished with an official time of four hours, 14 minutes and nine seconds. He finished the race 18,549 overall and 11,242 for the males.
