Peabody Municipal Light Plant's Annual LED Bulb Sale

Peabody Municipal Light Plant celebrating Public Power Week from Oct. 5 -11

Peabody Municipal Light Plant will hold its annual bulb sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 11 at 201 Warren Street Extension.

Customers will be able to purchase new energy efficient LED bulbs at very low costs.

The light bulb sale will take place as part of Public Power Week, Oct. 5 to Oct. 11. Peabody Municipal Power Plant one of the more than 2,000 other community-owned, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 47 million Americans.

“Public Power Week celebrates PMLP’s efforts to provide reliable, affordable electricity for our community,” wrote Glenn Trueira, PMLP Manager, in a news release. “Public power puts the electric power needs of the people of Peabody and South Lynnfield first. Public Power Week gives us the chance to emphasize the advantages of not for profit, locally owned power to our citizens and businesses.”

The light plant serves over 21,000 residential customers and over 4,000 commercial and industrial customers in Peabody and South Lynnfield.

Supplies of bulbs are limited: Maximum of four bulbs per residential account. Bulbs will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
