Peabody Offering Food Safety Courses for Vendors in August
The city is holding training sessions for food handlers ahead of the International Festival in September.

PEABODY, MA – Throughout the month of August, the Peabody Board of Health will host free food safety courses for vendors planning to set up shop at the upcoming International Festival.
Training will consist of 90 minute sessions pertaining to foodborne illnesses, best hygiene practices and equipment cleaning and sanitizing.
The courses are open to the public and will be held August 4, 11 and 18.

Starting this year, evidence of food safety training is required for groups serving food that needs Time and Temperature Control for Safety. Vendors should keep in mind that space is limited, and pre-registration is required.

This year's International Festival & Kids' Day will take place Sunday, September 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Peabody Square.
