Peabody Police Investigate an Armed Robbery

Police are searching for an armed robber who walked into the Ampet gas station at Endicott and Lowell streets on Sunday morning, and took an undisclosed amount of cash by knifepoint.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his 20s, approximately 6-foot tall, with a slight mustache. The man was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dark glasses and a hat.

The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

Investigators collected evidence at the scene. The investigation is active, and police will release additional information as it becomes available, according to authorities.
