Peabody Police, Old-Time Bruins Take to the Ice
Proceeds raised from Saturday's game donated to Peabody High, Bishop Fenwick and Peabody Youth Hockey League programs.
The Peabody Police Department and old-time Boston Bruins took to the ice Saturday night to raise money for local hockey programs.
Bruins legends from the 1970s like Ken Hodge and Don Marcotte showed they still have plenty of skills from their Stanley Cup days with Bobby Orr and the rest of the Big Bad Bruins.
The police officers who put up a valiant effort, but were down 6-1 after the first of two 25-minute periods. The true winners of Saturdays game at the O'Keefe skating rink were the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, Bishop Fenwick High School and Peabody Youth Hockey League programs.
