Peabody Police Take Down Peabody Fire, 6-4
City departments play charity hockey game at O'Keefe Skating Rink to benefit Haven from Hunger.
The final score didn't really matter as much as the reason the Peabody Police and Peabody Fire Department hockey teams squared off on the ice Friday night. Peabody's finest defeated the firemen, 6-4, to earn some bragging rights.
The biggest winners were the many people who go to the Haven from Hunger food pantry each day to pick up groceries or get a hot meal. All of the proceeds from the game were donated to the Haven from Hunger food pantry.
