Peabody Pride in Bloom; First-Ever Business Window Box Competition

Peabody Pride in Bloom encourages residents and business owners to celebrate the spring season and beautify the city by planting flowers.

Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt Jr.’s Peabody Pride in Bloom initiative is a joint venture between the city and the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce. Peabody Pride in Bloom encourages residents and business owners to celebrate the spring season and beautify the city by planting flowers.

Peabody Pride in Bloom inititative consists of three programs: Adopt-An-Island program, the Downtown Hanging Basket program, and the first-ever Business Window Box Competition.

Those programs support the mayor’s ongoing efforts to showcase the city and improve quality of life. They also support the Chamber’s mission to improve the economic, civic and cultural well-being of the area.

For those residents and business owners who wish to participate, applications for each of the three programs are available online at www.peabody-ma.gov.

Program guidelines and cost information will be available on April 20 and the deadline for filing applications will be Friday, May 15. Applications will also be available at City Hall or at the Greater Peabody Chamber of Commerce Office on Main Street.
