Peabody Recognized as 2015 Playful City
This is the 4th consecutive year that Peabody has earned the Playful City USA designation.

Peabody is being honored with a 2015 Playful City USA designation by the national non-profit organization KaBOOM! for the city’s commitment to encouraging physical activity and play among children.
This is the 4th consecutive year that Peabody has earned the Playful City USA designation which recognizes cities and towns across the country for making their cities more playable.
“As one of only 241 Playful City USA designees nationwide, this is really a terrific distinction for Peabody,” said Mayor Edward Bettencourt Jr. in a news release. “More important than prestige however, the designation comes with tremendous opportunity to leverage private funds for public good; In this case, creating more opportunities for our kids to be healthy and active.”
