Diane Boulanger-Prescott said she was fired after investigating abuse allegations against a "politically connected" school employee.

PEABODY, MA -- Peabody Public Schools settled a lawsuit brought by a former school human resources director on August 1. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed. In a lawsuit filed in February 2017, Diane Boulanger-Prescott claimed she was fired after pursuing an investigation of abuse by a paraprofessional at West Elementary School. The lawsuit claimed that the target of the investigation was "politically connected."

"The matter has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties," Matthew Ginsburg, Boulanger-Prescott’s attorney, told the Salem News, which first reported this story.
