Peabody Shares 5 Weeks Of Fall Yard Waste Pickup Dates

PEABODY, MA — With cooler nights and shorter days come the changing colors — and tumbling to the ground — of leaves across the city.

Those who are looking to get rid of those leaves from their property will have five weeks to do so through curbside yard waste pickup.

Curbside pickup of leaves and other yard waste is scheduled for the weeks of Oct. 5, Oct. 19, Nov. 2, Nov. 16, and Dec. 7.

The cost of the yard waste removal is covered under the new residential trash fee.

During these designated weeks, on their regular trash pickup day, residents may leave their leaves and yard waste in paper bags or barrels. No yard waste in plastic bags will be accepted.

Haulers may pick up regular trash first and return later in the day for yard waste.

Peabody residents may also take yard waste to the Department of Public Services, 50 Farm Avenue any weekday during regular business hours.

The Department of Public Services is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
