Peabody Street Sweeping Underway

PEABODY, MA – City-wide street sweeping kicked off last week. According to Mayor Ted Bettencourt's office, sweepers began on main roads, like Lowell Street, Main Street, Lynn Street, Washington Street, Lynnfield Street, Russell Street, and Pine Street.

After the main roads are completed, sweepers will start on the secondary roads and residential roads.

Residents should keep their cars off the streets during sweeping, and by sweeping debris from the sidewalks into the gutters. The mayor's office asks people not to sweep sand into piles, or sweep debris into the catch basins.
