PEABODY, MA -- Patch and more than 50 other local companies will be on hand at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School on April 6 for the school's annual career day. The event is a chance for students to talk with people in a wide range of industries and professions and explore possible career paths.

"High school students are allowed to explore the various trades and career paths represented in their community and are able to interact with representatives of those occupations throughout the day," the school said. "Career Day helps create ties between the student body and the community at large."

A Patch editor will be handing out giveaways and discussing careers in digital journalism with students. Other companies scheduled to attend include the Peabody Police and Fire Departments, Boston Children's Hospital at Peabody, Peabody TV, SalemFive and Brooksby Village.
