Peabody Students Honored At Alabama, SNHU, UMass-Lowell, URI

PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

Jack Blake is a 2022-23 recipient of an Omicron Delta Kappa General Scholarship.

Blake graduated summa cum laude from UMass-Lowell in May 2022, earning a Bachelor of Arts with a major in psychology and a concentration in behavioral analysis. During his undergraduate career, he completed research internships and projects in applied behavior analysis and psychology.

Blake also completed an honors fellowship in music performance. He founded the Student Association for Behavior Analysis, served as a student ambassador for his master's program, and received the Outstanding Undergraduate Award.

In the fall 2022 term, Blake will matriculate in the Master of Science in Applied Behavioral Analysis and Autism Studies at UML. He aspires to become a board-certified behavior analyst and complete his thesis.

Blake is completing his supervised fieldwork at a local ABA agency as a behavior technician. He is passionate about research on dissemination and quantitative analyses of behavior.

Blake intends to earn a Ph.D. in ABA after finishing his master's degree.

New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine welcomed its newest medical students, including Matthew Cannata, during ceremonies where members of the class of 2026 received their first white coats.

The white coat ceremony is a medical school rite of passage that marks the official start of a student's medical education.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the Southern New Hampshire University President's List.

Peabody students on the President's List are Jeremy McGuire, Janelle Elliott, Anthony Arduino, Seth Chouinard, Alezandra Ortiz, Janae Gordon, Mason Coleman and Wesley Smith.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the SNHU Dean's List.

Peabody students on the Dean's List are Alison Nugent, Angela Fersobe, Sherly Bourdeau, Jeury Soto and Adam Fleischer.

Sarah Long received the following degree from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Arts. UA awarded over 1,400 degrees during its summer commencement ceremonies on Aug. 6.

The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during the University's 136th Commencement, including Lindsay Alexandra Notarangeli, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences.

Close to 3,600 undergraduate degrees and more than 800 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during the ceremonies which took place May 20-22.
