PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.
Alexandra Taylor, who majored in Biomedical Engineering, earned her degree at Worcester Polytechnic University.
Taylor also complied a senior thesis project on fluid flow stimulation of engineered heart value tissue.

Madeline Talbot, class of 2026, majoring in Biomedical Engineering.
Gikas completed a project on freshwater ecosystem services in the face of climate change and Bromberger completed a project on heat and biodiversity through automated technologies.
Assumption University honored 75 students with academic awards for excelling in their individual fields of study. The annual spring Honors Convocation is an opportunity to recognize students who have received one of the university's academic departmental honors, special awards, and Augustine Scholarships.
Claudio Rocha, Class of 2023, received the Ray Marion Special Award in World History.
Assumption announced Emma Bloom and Alexander Franklin have been named to the university's Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester. Students named to the Dean's List must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters.
This year's Lasell University Male Scholar Athlete of the Year is being awarded to Nico Manganiello (men's soccer).
Manganiello played in 19 career games, starting 9. He was named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference team. In addition to being a member of the soccer team, Manganiello has broadcasted numerous sporting events at Lasell, and is in charge of coordinating broadcasters for each event. Additionally, he has interned at 98.5 The Sports Hub on the award winning Felger and Mazz show.
Courtney A. Kline was among the more than 850 members of The University of Scranton's class of 2023 who were awarded bachelor's and associate's degrees at its undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 21 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, Wilkes-Barre. Degrees were conferred to graduates who had completed their academic degree requirements in August and December of 2022, as well as January and May of 2023.

Arielle Richardson graduated with a AS in Dental Hygiene.
Christina Ruggiero graduated with a BS in Nursing.
Alannah Acosta graduated with a MS in Nursing — Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Jailene Roman graduated with a MS in Nursing — Family Nurse Practitioner.
Tanya Tarnowski graduated with a MS in Nursing - Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
Joshua Di Napoli, Robert Rekemeyer, Brian Morelli, Christopher Lavoie, Justin Poirier, Crighton Lawlor, Westley Smith and Christopher Bavaro were named to the Southern New Hampshire University President's List.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.7 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List.
Yeimy Ramon, Allan Salazar and Kathryn Cohen were named to the SNHU Dean's List. Dean's List students have a GPA between 3.5 and 3.69.
Carolyn Tracy, Kelly Melin and Sabrina Romano were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. All three attend Salem State University.
Jenna Durkin was initiated into the St. Lawrence University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. The Society welcomed 1,869 new initiates from 78 universities during April 2023.
Students initiated into the Society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate/professional students in the top 35 percent of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars, and embrace the ODK ideals. Fewer than five percent of students on a campus are invited to join each year.
Curry College welcomed Danielle Barrasso into Beta Beta Beta, the International Biology Honor Society.
Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is an honor society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Since its founding in 1922, more than 200,000 persons have been accepted into lifetime membership, and more than 626 chapters have been established throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
Barrasso was also welcomed into the the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society.
The objective of the Alexander Graham Bell (AGB) Honor Society is to promote and recognize academic excellence at Curry College. The Society is named for the famous inventor, Alexander Graham Bell, who was an early chancellor at Curry College. It was founded in 1971 to recognize and promote academic excellence through a variety of activities at Curry.
Valentina Ferrara, a Lasell University student, participated in the institution's annual RUNWAY shows last month.
Ferrara was a scene manager for RUNWAY. The annual fashion shows featured work from 89 student designers and more than 150 models and production staff members.
Meaghan Csongor was one of 11 Lasell team members to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC).
Students from Lasell's School of Fashion and Longe School of Business competed individually and in teams in categories including fashion merchandising, retail management, human resources, marketing communications, and advertising.
