PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.
Kristina Derrivan, a member of the class of 2025 majoring in Biomedical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense research project titled Data Collection and Visualization for WEFTA.
At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology that addresses an important societal need or issue. About two-thirds of students complete a project at one of the university's 50-plus off-campus project centers, which are located around the world.

The Great North Atlantic Conference announced their end-of-the-year awards for field hockey and Jacquelyn Scopa was one of seven members of Lasell University's field hockey team to be recognized.
More than 900 new students are in their first semester at Eastern Connecticut State University this fall 2023. The new admits include 696 first-time students and 254 transfer students who are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate-level programs.

Among them are: Morginn Kotchian, a first-year student who majors in Business Administration, and Brendan Smith, a first-year student who majors in Criminology.
Emily Osborn graduated from the University of Hartford in May of 2023 with a BA in English.
Samuel Silvestro was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society at College of the Holy Cross, the Jesuit honor society founded in 1915.
Silvestro is one of 31 new inductees this year, who exemplify the society's values of excellence in scholarship, loyalty and service.
Christina Brown was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Brown was initiated at MCPHS University.
The following Southern New Hampshire students from Peabody were named to the Summer 2023 President's List with a GPA of 3.7 or greater: Jeremy McGuire, Adam Chalifour, Alyssa Pszenny, Adam Fleischer, Brian Morelli, Dean Gauvain, Kathryn Cohen, Caitlin McGrath and Crighton Lawlor.
The following students were named to the SNHU President's List during the fall semester: Joshua Di Napoli, Allan Salazar, Lisa Salerno, Brian Morelli, David D'Amico, Crighton Lawlor, Anthony Minichillo, Lizmailyn Escoto, Adam Chalifour, Emma Hayward and Thomas Gross.
Shannon Sweeney was named to SNHU's Fall 2023 Dean's List with a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.699. The fall terms run from September to December.
Colleen Crotty was named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2023 semester at Western Connecticut State University. Crotty is a nursing student.
Nicolina Trifero and Andrew Vo were named to the Fall 2023 Dean's List at Roger Williams University with a GPA of 3.4 or higher.
Emily McDonough and Sam Merrill were named to the Plymouth State University President's List with a GPA of 3.7 or better during the Fall 2023 semester.
Ashton Milne excelled during the Fall 2023 semester at Hofstra, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean's List. Ashton's major is Writing for the Screen.
Robert Shea achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Spring 2023 semester, earning a spot on the Provost's List at Hofstra University. Shea's major is Mechanical Engineering.
Lindsey Josselyn and Natasha Rosario were named to the President's List at Husson University during the fall semester. Juliana Bouffard and Tatiana Rosario were named to the Dean's List.
Cameron King qualified for Belmont University's Fall 2023 Dean's List. Approximately 52 percent of Belmont's 7,338 undergraduate students qualified.
