Peabody Students Honored At Bryant, Holy Cross, Merrimack, Tampa, UVM

PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

The following Bryant University students earned Dean's List honors with a GPA of 3.4 or higher: Tyler Amato, Nickolas Capela, Joshua Comito, Jessica Reid, Aidan Wilkinson and Jake Williams.

More than 1,000 students earned a spot on the President's List for the spring 2023 semester at Coastal Carolina. Students who earned the honor with a 4.0 GPA or better from Peabody were Cade Buckley and Mikayla Buckley.

Malora Corrao made the Coastal Carolina Dean's List with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (3.25 for freshmen) for the semester.

Jillian Krouse earned President's List for the 2023 spring semester at Merrimack College. Krouse is a rising senior who will be the cheer captain for the 2023-24 season.

The following Peabody students earned bachelor's degrees from the University of Vermont:

Marlana Winschel graduated with a bachelor's in Biology and Anthropology.

Sophia Winschel graduated with a bachelor's in Health and Society.

Peabody students were named to the College of the Holy Cross' Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2022-23 academic year. The following local students made the list:

Caitlin Desmond, Class of 2025.

Eugene Mantilla, Class of 2025.

Foster Martinuk, Class of 2025.

Samuel Silvestro, Class of 2024.

To qualify for the Holy Cross Dean's List, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The University of Tampa must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the Dean's List.

The following Peabody students were named to the dean's list:

Janie Wilson, a freshman majoring in Advertising and Public Relations BA.

Collin Sullivan, a junior majoring in Political Science BA.

Valentina Ferrara, a Lasell University student, was recognized by their peers for outstanding collaboration in the spring 2023 semester in their Fashion Event Production course.

Ferrara was selected as the best person to work with in this course. Recipients of the Collaboration Recognition Award are selected by their peers for exemplifying superior skills in collaboration by sharing ideas and useful information, communicating in a professional manner, and cooperating in a way to ensure success.

The Collaboration Recognition Program at Lasell University was launched in 2021 as an opportunity to acknowledge students not just for their academic performance in a particular course, but for collaborative behaviors that are the key to success in professional environments.

The University of Hartford said Ryan Knight and Emily Osborn were named to the Dean's List for Spring 2023.

Brigid Barry and Logan McGonigle were named to the Champlain College Dean's List for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the Spring 2023 semester.
