Peabody Teens Claim District Title for Softball
Two for two for Peabody West softball in Williamsport tournament.
The Peabody West Junior All-Stars crushed Salem Thursday night to win the District 16 Championship for Little League softball. And in a sense, it's two for two -- the Majors All-Stars .
The title, a reversal of last year's contest with Salem, propels the Peabody girls into the Sectional tournament, which is also double elimination. First up is Wakefield on Sunday (5 p.m.) in Wakefield.
Peabody fast pitch softball is only in its second year of competitive play.
