Eskenazi's community involvement began while she was raising her family. Her work with the Carroll School led to roles as president of the Carroll School PTO and later co-president of the Peabody High School Performing Arts parent group.

Eskenazi now serves on the boards of the Peabody Historical Society and the Historical Commission. It credited her with helping launch the Commercial Historical Plaque Program. The same announcement said she supports the Peabody Garden Club and the Sutton House, and fundraises for Bridgewell Inc.

Eskenazi was also recently recognized by the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce with the 2025 Mary Upton Ferrin Award. That recognition cited her resilience in overcoming unique challenges.

The Commonwealth Heroine Award is presented annually by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. The announcement described the honorees as women "who don’t make the news, but make the difference."
