Peabody West Advances to Showdown With Wyoma Thursday night

Peabody West marched on to the District 16 final match-up with Wyoma after routing Peabody American Tuesday night, 15-3.

Peabody West busted out in the second inning, putting 12 runs on the scoreboard, after the cross town rivals had gained a three-run lead. The game only lasted 3-1/2 innings after being called off on the mercy rule.

Wyoma, which is still unbeaten, proved the only team in the tournament so far to , leaving the Tanner City All-Stars hungry for a re-match.

Thursday’s game will be played at East Lynn at 5:45 p.m. Peabody needs to win twice, however, handing Wyoma both its losses in the double elimination tournament, in order to be crowned District 16 champs.
