Peabody West All-Stars Blast Through Revere
A sixth-inning grand slam by Hunter Jacques invoked the ten-run mercy rule as Peabody West crushed Revere on Sunday afternoon.
The Peabody West All-Stars knocked in run after run against Revere on Sunday in Swampscott in their opening game of the District 16 Little League tournament.
After a grand slam in the sixth inning by Hunter Jacques, game officials called the mercy rule (10 runs ahead) to end the contest, 13-1.
Peabody West won’t play again until Saturday (4 p.m.), taking on the winner of the Saugus American/Wyoma game Monday (5:45 p.m.), which will actually be played in Peabody. The location of Saturday’s yet has yet to be determined.
