The inaugural Love is Love Market is a free artisan marketplace celebrating Pride weekend in downtown Salem, MA — and everyone is invited.
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Old Town Hall (indoor) and Derby Square (outdoor) transform into a curated marketplace featuring nearly 30 local makers, artists, and small businesses from across the North Shore and beyond. This isn't a generic vendor fair. This is a market built around the people who pour their whole selves into what they create — the jewelers, the painters, the candlemakers, the bakers, the ceramicists, the designers who turned a passion into a business and a business into a community.
Shop handmade jewelry, original art, specialty foods, candles, ceramics, clothing, home goods, and more. This year's hand-selected lineup includes illustrator Karen Hallion, Sarah Kelly Ceramics, Dragonfly Candle &amp; Soap Co, Peace Florals, The Hippie Bean Co., Why Not Jewelry by Kirsty, Jack Attackk Clothing, Lory Sun Artistry, Wildwood Bindery, Alder &amp; Spice, Strawberry Oddities, and The Witchery — alongside more than a dozen more makers across both venues. Start with the North Shore Pride Parade as it steps off through downtown Salem, gather on Salem Common for the North Shore Pride Festival, and then shop the Love is Love Market at Old Town Hall and Derby Square. We're proud to be part of a Pride weekend that fills the whole city — march, celebrate, shop, and stay all day.
Admission is free. All ages welcome. Leashed dogs welcome in Derby Square.

This session features a fun cat or dog sunset painting. Students will be guided step-by-step to create a beautiful acrylic masterpiece on stretched 11x14 canvas.&nbsp;

Olesea is a seasoned art teacher with over 30 years of experience, a fine artist, and graphic designer who owns and runs “Olesea’s Art Studio” in Swampscott, MA. With degrees in oil and watercolor painting from a fine arts university in Moldova and digital art direction from the University of Massachusetts, she combines classical artistic training with a modern creative approach.
Her work includes commissioned paintings, custom indoor and outdoor murals, art instruction for children and adults, and creative design for businesses and events. Through her studio, she brings together fine art, design, and community creativity in a warm and inspiring environment.

But the inspiration for the song dates back to the time Roger went to Taipei, Taiwan, as a college student to teach English during the day and busk with his guitar at night for money.
Today, as Clyne prepares to release his 11th studio album, he continues to transform his life experiences, inspirations, observations and his own muses into timeless music. And whether he’s wearing his Converse high tops, boots or sandals, Clyne’s blend of punk rock, americana, indie-pop and mariachi influences have made him, drummer PH Naffah, guitarist Jim Dalton and bassist Nick Scropos – collectively known as Roger Clyne &amp; The Peacemakers – one of America’s best live rock-n-roll bands.

The Hidden Parlor Society announces the anticipated August 2026 opening of The Hidden Parlor, a dedicated American Mahjong parlor created for open play, leagues, guided sessions, curated events, and connection around the table.
The Hidden Parlor will offer reserved tables, regular operating hours, concierge service, and thoughtful programming for players at a range of experience levels. A curated selection of Mahjong goods, gifts, and accessories will also be available.
&ldquo;American Mahjong has a way of bringing people together,&rdquo; said Heather Forrest Gagnon, Founding General Manager of The Hidden Parlor Society. &ldquo;The Hidden Parlor is being thoughtfully created as a place to gather, connect, and enjoy the game in a beautiful setting. We look forward to welcoming players from Andover and throughout New England.&rdquo;
The Hidden Parlor recognizes Mahjong&rsquo;s origins in China and the generations of players, including Jewish American communities, who helped shape American Mahjong as it is played today.
The Hidden Parlor will partner with local American Mahjong instructors to offer introductory sessions, guided play, leagues, and special programming.
Since opening its waitlist, The Hidden Parlor has attracted interest from players across Massachusetts and throughout New England.
Annual access is available through four tiers: South, West, North, and East, each reflecting a different level of engagement.
