Peabody YMCA To Host 'College Admissions 101' Workshop

The workshop at the Torigian Family YMCA on March 1 will focus on choosing the right college and securing financial aid.

PEABODY, MA —North Shore students and their families with an eye toward higher education are invited to the Torigian Family YMCA in Peabody on March 1 for a free "College Admissions 101" workshop.

Attorney Honoria DaSilva-Kilgore, founder of Personal College Counseling, Inc., will host the in-person workshop on March 1 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

DaSilva-Kilgore will cover choosing a college or university based on the student's interests, lifestyle and budget, as well as security financial edit and merit scholarships.

The workshop is geared toward high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and their families.

The event is free, but registration is required and must be done here by Feb. 28.
