PHOTOS: Nationals Knocked Off By Swampscott

Peabody lost to Swampscott, 8-3, but fought to the end leaving the bases loaded. Slugger Jake Gustin made the last out, but used his second strike to hit a long foul ball out of the park and well down Hurd Street.

They fought to the end, but errors and walks spelled trouble for the Peabody Nationals against Swampscott Saturday and consequently the end of their Williamsport journey. Slugger Jake Gustin made the last out, but used his second strike to launch a long foul ball out of the park and well down Hurd Street in Saugus.

The Nats lost initially to Saugus American and then Swampscott, 8-3, to be knocked from tournament play in District 16. On the way, the Peabody boys took down Peabody West and East Lynn.
