PHOTOS: Peabody's Hinchion Wins Inaugural Sweetheart Classic
About 50 local runners came out Sunday for the first Sweetheart Classic at Brooksby Farm, clocking times between 19:19 and 36:16 for the 5K.
Sunday turned out to be a perfect winter day for a race, just not a snowshoe race.
The first annual Sweetheart 5K Classic, which was turned into a cross country race due to the lack of snow, saw 47 runners hit the trails through Brookby Farm. Prizes were awarded to the top three overall finishers and top finisher in each age category, male and female, and of course, to the top couple.
The winning time belonged to John Hinchion of Peabody at 19:19.

The event was organized by various city employees who volunteered their time and by the Peabody Recreation Department.
