The Peabody baseball team turned a 9-3 final inning lead into a 9-7 nailbiter at Saugus' World Series Park.
The deluge held off Thursday evening and Peabody's undefeated Babe Ruth All-Stars racked up another win.
The 15-year-old squad took down Braintree in the semi-final of the state tournament at World Series Park in Saugus, 9-7, to advance to the final game on Saturday. Braintree and Peabody traded runs through half the game until Peabody broke away to a 6-3 lead in the sixth.
