Police: OUI Arrest; Starting Fires

Friday, Oct. 9

At 2:13 p.m., police arrested Marc D. Devoe, 32, of 37A Garden Road in Peabody and charged him with shoplifting.

At 3:18 p.m., a woman on Andover Street was issued a criminal summons for making threats against her roommate.

At 4:05 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Andover Street. One person was taken to Salem Hospital.

At 4:17 p.m., police arrested Robert D. Ring, 41, of 12 Lake Ave. in Lynn and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense.

At 9:05 p.m., there was a report of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Margin Street.

Saturday, Oct. 10

At 2:35 a.m., there was a report of a loud argument between a man and a woman on Park Street.

At 4:52 a.m., there was a report of a tree limb down on Highland Street.

At 8:54 a.m., there was a report that some homeless people had started a good-sized fire in the woods behind the library. The fire was put out and those involved were sent on their way.

At 1:26 p.m., police arrested Edimir Abraham Breton, 19, of 106 Boston St. in Salem and charged him with shoplifting and disorderly conduct.

At 2:59 p.m., a bike was reported stolen on Kosciusko Street.

At 4:36 p.m., police arrested Welvis Martinsdelima, 24, of 240 Washington St. in Peabody on charges of the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and a crosswalk violation.

At 6:44 p.m., police arrested Thomas E. Gear, 56, homeless, of Peabody and charged him with trespassing.
