Police: 12-Year-Old Summonsed to Court For Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon; Juvenile on Dirt Bike Tried to Outrun Officer; Illegal Dumping at Cemetery

Monday, May 18

At 2:43 p.m., identity fraud on George Avenue. Party reported that her social security number was used for a healthcare plan in Arkansas.

At 5:26 p.m. assault and battery arrest on Eagan Place. Report of a party shot in the back with a BB gun. Officer transported the suspect from McDonald’s on Main Street to his home. A 12-year-old juvenile summonsed to court for one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, BB gun. Officer confiscated the BB gun. Victim refused medical attention.

At 5:37 p.m., dirt bike complaint on Dublin Road in area of Belfast Street. Dirt bike driving in the roadway. Officer reported that the ATV tried to outrun him. A 16-year-old juvenile was summonsed for unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, and failure to stop for a police officer. Vehicle towed.

At 8:24 a.m., pedestrian accident on Central Street in area of Warren Street. Caller reported that a female was struck by a car.Victim transported to an area hospital. Alma Beqira, 48, of Salem summonsed for operating to endanger.

At 8:39 a.m., illegal dumping in Beth El Cemetery on Lowell Street. Caller reported that landscaping debris was dumped at the cemetery.

At 1:21 p.m., motor vehicle stop on First Avenue in the area of Centennial Drive.Written warning for stop sign violation.
