Police: Drinking in the Lobby; Raccoon Sent on its Way

Friday, Oct. 16

At 3:20 p.m., there was a report of an assault on Crane Brook Way.

At 5:47 p.m., a man reported that a dog that was off its leash on Margin Street attacked him and his dog.

At 6:11 p.m., a bike was reported stolen on Walnut Street.

At 9:32 p.m., there was a report of a motor vehicle vandalized at the Northshore Mall.

At 10:16 p.m., police arrested James L. Cloutman, 50, of 39 Railroad Avenue in Beverly for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Saturday, Oct. 17

At 10:27 a.m., there was a raccoon stuck in a dumpster on Sylvan Street. The raccoon was freed and sent on its way.

At 11:46 a.m., there was a report of a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Laurie Road.

At 3:02 p.m., there was a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Newbury Street.

At 4:59 p.m., police arrested Erick Melo, 32, of 35 Morriss St., #1 in Everett for an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

At 10:53 p.m., the front clerk of a hotel on Newbury Street reported that there was a group of guests drinking alcohol in the front lobby and refusing to go home.

Sunday, Oct. 18

At 12:40 p.m., there was a report of a wire down on Lake Shore Drive.

At 12:45 p.m., there was a report of tires slashed on Fairview Avenue.
