Police: Angry Customer Smashed Computer at Gym; Road Rage Incident, Drill Mistaken For a Gun; Shoplifting

At 3:34 p.m., shoplifting at JCPenney. Neha Bajaj, 27, of Somerville, was summonsed for

shoplifting over $100.

At 6:09 p.m., wires and trees down on Martinack Avenue. DPS, Verizon and PMLP notified.

At 8:15 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Pine Street. Verbal warning for unsecured load.

At 10:03 p.m., vandalism on St. Lo Drive. Eggs thrown at house. Door was damaged.

Friday, May 29

At 7:58 a.m., larceny at CVS on Main Street. Location/Address: Segundo A. Rivera, 27, of Peabody, was summonsed for larceny over $250

At 8:56 a.m., DPW callout in area of Roycroft Road and Margin Street. Road hazard from sinkhole near storm drain.

At !:27 p.m., disturbance at Latitude Health Club on Newbury Street. Caller reported that a customer came into the gym and became angry. The customer picked up a computer, and smashed it. The computer was valued at $500. Paul F. Gifford, 53, of Lynnfield, was summonsed to court for malicious destruction of property over $250.

At 2:12 p.m., unwanted person at building on Washington Street. Unwanted prior roommate entered through window. Diana L. Shepherd, 55, of Lynn, will be summoned for malicious destruction of property under $250.

At 3:09 p.m., larceny from Puritan Lawn Cemetery. Bronze flower pot stolen.

At 3:45 p.m., road rage incident near North Shore Mall. Danvers PD reported incident. Officer spoke with both parties. One party showed a drill, and the other party mistook the drill for a gun. Vehicle checked. No gun found.

Saturday, May 30

At 12:39 a.m., vehicle reported stolen on Prospect Street.

At 1:08 a.m., area check on Jills Way. Group of youths who were ringing doorbells in the area and running. Officer spoke with a parent of one of the youths, who came to pick up the youths.

At 7:46 a.m., assist merchant on Andover Street. Sneaker release at the Finish Line.

At 10:50 a.m., report of a tent left in Walker Road.

At 11:35 a.m., counterfeit bills at Dunkin Donuts on Central Street. Reports that Central Street and Washington Street stores received counterfeit $20 bills.

At 12:34 p.m., assist citizen on Goodale Street. Party reported that earlier in the morning a vehicle followed him. Officer left message for the owner of the vehicle believed to be a private investigator, who did not check in with Peabody Police. Officer will advise him of proper procedure when private investigator returns his call.

At 2:48 p.m., shoplifting at JCPenney. Fracelis Delarosa, 45, of Lynn, and Mary Almeida,18, of Salem, will be summonsed for shoplifting under $100.

At 6:49 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Lowell Street. Daniel S. Bode, 30, of Lynn, will be summonsed for possession of cocaine.

At 7:49 p.m., trespassing at the mall. Ty L. Arbegast, 25, of Peabody, arrested for trespassing.
