Police: Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon Arrest, $3800 in Equipment Stolen, Shoplifting Arrests

Friday, Feb. 20

At 2:59 p.m., shoplifting at JCPenney. Emily Bernardi, 18, of Sandwich, will be summoned for shoplifting.

At 3:55 p.m., Council on Aging van into a snowbank on Bartholomew Street. No injuries reported. Very minor damage.

At 8:56 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Centennial Drive. Stacey Anastospoulos, 39. of Lynn, will be summonsed for revoked license, marked lanes violation and failure to yield.

At 12:52 p.m., report of motor vehicle accident at Kappy’s Liquors. Driver cited for an illegal u-turn. Vehicle stuck in a snowbank.

At 2:04 p.m., vandalism on Vernon Street. Resident reported that a city bobcat damaged her fence. Documented damaged fence.

At 3:59 p.m., shoplifting at Sears. Thomas H. Elwell, 22, of Danvers, was arrested for shoplifting and disorderly conduct. Kody Kooyoomjian, 23, of Danvers, will receive a summons for shoplifting. $150 merchandise from Marshall’s was turned over to Danvers Police, who will take charges against. Elwell.

At 6:08 p.m., motor vehicle accident on Lynn Street. One person transported to an area hospital. One vehicle towed.

At 10:32 p.m., assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at China Corner in Peabody Square. Luis Braude, 26, of Peabody, arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Gregory D. Levesque, 26, of Salem, will receive a criminal complaint for special larceny over $250. Kyle K. Almquist, 29, of Salem, will receive a criminal complaint for assault and battery. Levesque transported to an area hospital to be evaluated.

Sunday, Feb. 22

At 9:49 a.m., break and enter motor vehicle at Sinclair Hardwood Floors on Northend Street. Approximately $3800 in equipment was taken including backpack vacuum, two flooring edgers, and a flooring gun. Documented.

At 10 a.m., dog reported missing on Spinale Road. Caller reported his dog went missing around 7:30 on Saturday. Dog’s name is “Topaz”. Topaz is a 10-year-old black and tan female Beagle mix with long fur and a fluffy tail. The dog weighs about 15 pounds and was not wearing a collar. Topaz is currently licensed and vaccinated against rabies.

At 12:11 p.m., motor vehicle accident on Lowell Street. One vehicle towed.
