Police: Assault Arrest; Unhappy With the DPW

Wednesday, Sept. 30
At 2:12 p.m., there was a disturbance between a resident and a DPW worker on Fulton Street. The resident was unhappy with the DPW service.
At 3:16 p.m., a caller reported that someone stole his son’s medication on Antrim Road.

At 4:38 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Summit Street.

At 6:07 p.m., there was a report of a sick raccoon on Harris Street. Police reported that the raccoon was fine.
At 8:43 p.m., police arrested Joseph Piazzo, 27, of 190 Washington St. in Peabody for shoplifting and on two warrants.
Thursday, Oct. 1
At 7:01 a.m., there was an automobile fire on Lowell Street.
At 8:59 a.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Washington Street.
At 9:19 a.m., police investigated a breaking and entering to a business on Main Street.
At 9:34 a.m., police arrested Michael J. Vess, 45, of 213 High Cape Ann in Gloucester for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on someone over 60.
At 9:58 a.m., police responded to a verbal disturbance between roommates over bills on Oak Street. Peace was restored.
