Police: Assault With a Dangerous Weapon Arrests, Fight on Washington Street, Neighbor Disputes Over Snow

Tuesday, Feb. 10
At 7:44 a.m., threats at North Apartments. Report of a person threatening maintenance person with a knife. Description of suspect issued. Reporting party stated that her husband, who possesses a license to carry was attempting to detain the suspect at gunpoint. Ronald A. Papaleo, 46, of Danvers,was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, knife; threat to commit a crime, intimidation and assault and battery.
At 2:35 p.m., animal control, dog bite at Mobile Estates. Reporting party stated his dog was tied in his driveway and may have bitten another dog that came onto his property. He is unsure if the other dog is injured. Extensive neighborhood dispute between parties.

At 2:49 p.m., neighborhood dispute over snow on Lowell Street. Peace restored.
At 3:23 p.m., neighbor dispute on Newbury Street. Caller reported her neighbor is snow blowing snow all over the side of her unit blocking a window and her dryer vent. Officer spoke to both parties,

At 4:45 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Lake Street. William J. Rowe, 34, of Amesbury, will be summoned for having a revoked license, uninsured motor vehicle, larceny under $250 and no inspection sticker. Rowe will also be charged with receiving stolen property after a report that the plates were stolen from another vehicle.
At 6:53 p.m., assist citizen on Fenton Street. Party wanted to speak to officer about the city dumping snow on property. party cannot get oil deliveries to residence. DPw notified; sent someone over.
At 7:08 p.m., recovered stolen license plate. Middleton Police called to request check off a plate. Amesbury Police notified.
At 8:26 p.m., shoplifting at Sears. Approximately $40 in merchandise.
At 11:15 p.m., motor vehicle accident with injuries at the 7-Eleven on Lynn Street. One person transported to an area hospital.
Wednesday, Feb. 11
At 2:21 a.m., fight in progress on Washington Street. One person reported to have a knife. Curtis Bartlett, 46, of Peabody, was arrested for two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, knife.
At 9:42 a.m., motor vehicle accident on Centennial Drive. Caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident that has pulled off into the parking lot of the Peabody Dialysis Center.
At 12:21 p.m., motor vehicle accident in Tedeschi’s parking lot on Main Street. Truck with a low into a car. No injuries.
