Police: Car vs Pole; People Playing Soccer at the Buckley Field Park Asked to Leave; Heroin and Carrying Dangerous Weapon Arrest

Monday, April 6

At 4:23 p.m., shoplifting at JCPenney. Party fled in a vehicle with New Hampshire plates. A summons will be issued to Elaine Nickerson, 56, of New Hampshire for larceny over $250 by false pretense.

At 5:11 p.m., assist another department at Buckley Field Park on Central Street. Parks superintendent reported people playing soccer on the field, and wants them removed off the field. No one should be on the grass yet, according to city officials.

At 5:30 p.m., vandalism on Pierpont Street. Party reported damage to mv while parked in lot over the winter.

At 6:49 p.m., suspicious activity in McDonald’s parking lot on Main Street. Officer reported that a car with Florida license plates involved in a drug activity. Officer reported foot pursuit. Officer requested ambulance for officer injury. K9 requested. Thomas Conant, 23, of Peabody, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, possession of heroin, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Tuesday, April 7

At 9:25 a.m., motor vehicle into a pole on Tremont Street. One woman transported to an area hospital. Vehicle towed. PMLP notified.

At 11:03 a.m., larceny on Aborn Street. Caller reported someone took medication from her pocketbook in her apartment.

At 1:54 p.m., motor vehicle stop in area Kelly Volkswagen Storage lot on Andover Street. Written warning issued for marked lanes and cited for safety belt.
