Police: Civil Rights Violation, Sunroof was Smashed by an Object That Fell From an Overpass on Route 1, Shoplifting Arrest

Friday, March 6

At 2:00 p.m., serve warrant on Main Street. Kimberly Chambers, 34, of Peabody, was arrested on two default warrants, and was served a harassment order.

At 3:05 p.m., assist citizen on Newbury Street. Party reported that her sunroof was smashed by an object that fell from an overpass on Route 1.

At 4:35 p.m., motor vehicle accident on Andover Street in the area of Buttonwood Lane. Geovane Soares DaSilva, 25, of Salem, will be summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 7:09 p.m., suspicious activity on Central Street. Neighbor reported that neighbor was being obscene in window.

At 9:18 p.m., motor vehicle stop at McDonalds’ on Main Street. Vanessa K. Jeising, 20, of Danvers, will be issued a summons for possession of a Class B drug.

Saturday, March 7

At 12:04 a.m., disturbance at Azorean Brotherhood of the Divine holy Ghost on Howley Street. Fight broke out in a group of 15 outside.Fight broke up before officers arrived.

At 10:11 a.m., caller reported she hit a light pole on Lynn Street by Omega Pizza. She stated there was no damage to the pole or wires, but that the yellow plastic casing broke away. Peabody Light Department notified to inspect the pole.

At 12:22 p.m., larceny reported at Brookstone’s.

At 12:27 p.m., strong odor of gas at Hannaford Plaza entrance on Russell Street. National Grid notified.

At 3:15 p.m., motor vehicle accident at JCPenney. Motorist reported that a person struck three unoccupied vehicles.

At 5:12 p.m., shoplifting at Macy’s. Gretchen E. Hayden, 37, of Dracut, was arrested for shoplifting and one count of receiving stolen property over $250.

Sunday, March 8

At 12:35 a.m., disturbance on Margin Street. Female having a problem with her neighbor. Joel Rodriguez, 31, of Peabody, was be summons for interference with civil rights violation, threat to commit a crime and assault with a dangerous weapon.

At 5:22 a.m., assist fire department on Nickerson Road. Possible electrical issue.

At 12:45 p.m., larceny on Pulaski Street. Caller reported that the taillights were stolen from his

truck.
