Police: Fight at Bus Stop in Peabody Square Leads to Assault Arrest; Man Waved 4-Inch Knife in Road Rage Incident; Drunk Driving Arrest

Friday, April 3
At 1:32 p.m., suspicious activity on Andover Street. Caller reported that a man attempted to steal property from her yard. She said three juvenile are chasing this party down the railroad tracks. Man was wearing a gray coat. Officer spoke to the juveniles and checked the area. Unable to find the suspect.
At 2:18 p.m., past burglary on Crane Brook Way. Party came to the lobby to report that electronics were stolen from his apartment while he was in the process of moving.

At 2:52 p.m., shoplifting at H&M. Loss prevention reported a female shoplifter refusing to identify herself. The officer stated that the store will handle the incident
At 2:55 p.m., report of a fight at the bus stop in Peabody Square. Leo Levasser Jr., 35, of Lynn, was arrested for assault and battery (shod foot), and assault. The victim was checked by Atlantic Ambulance and refused further medical treatment.

At 4:43 p.m., shoplifting at JCPenney. Loss prevention reported a detained a female shoplifter. Rani Patel, 29, of Essex, was summonsed for shoplifting over $250, third offense and receiving stolen property under $250. Patel was also trespassed from mall property by mall security for two years.
At 5:07 p.m., assist citizen at Tannery Apartments on Warren Street. Calling party reported that she was stuck in the front elevator on the fifth floor. Firefighters released party from the elevator.
Saturday, April 4
At 12:47 a.m., citation issued for handicap parking violation at Dunkin Donuts on Washington Street.
At 12:56 a.m., assist other police department. Wilmington Police asked Peabody Police to check two locations on Sanborn Street and Bartholomew Street for a suspect for domestic assault and battery. Officers took the suspect into custody at a Bartholomew Street location.
At 11:22 a.m., shoplifting at Finish Line. Past shoplifting of a pair of sneakers valued at $190.93. Officer spoke to the suspect who decided to bring back the sneakers.
At 1:07 a.m., motor vehicle stop on Christina Drive. Tara Holleran, 41, of Peabody, will be summoned for revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and equipment (lights) violation. The vehicle was towed.
At 3:04 p.m., road rage incident on Lowell Street. Report of a road rage incident. Driver was waving a 4-inch knife at the reporting party. Officers located and stopped the vehicle on 114 by Mini of Peabody. Michael C. Jesi, 19, of Middleton, was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon (knife).
At 4:51 p.m., accident and arrest on Littles Lane. Report of a vehicle that hit the structure. Operator of the vehicle moved the vehicle away from the home, and went inside. His vehicle struck the building and two vehicles. The officer located the suspect in front of the Elks Lodge. Corey M. Payne 33, of Billerica, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of property damage, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
At 9:24 p.m., suspicious activity in Stop and Shop parking lot. Report of a baby sleeping in a vehicle; no adults around. Mother had stopped to get milk. She was advised it was not in the best interest of the child. She will not do it again.
Sunday, April 5
At 2:56 a.m., pickup truck reported stolen from resident on Benevento Circle.
At 6:21 a.m., stolen pickup truck recovered on Dale Street. Man reported that a pickup truck crashed into his backyard sometime overnight, damaging his fence and property.. Reporting party stated his wife “heard something around 4 this morning.” Truck is registered to a Benevento Circle resident. The Ford pickup truck is registered to Alexander Nocon of Benevento Circle of peabody. Nocon had reported the vehicle stolen earlier today..Officer will be summonsing Nocon for leaving the scene of an accident, operating to endanger, and filing a false stolen vehicle report.
