Police: Home Burglary, Gas Leak in Rooftop Apartment Unit, Fight Reported

Tuesday, March 3
At 2:48 p.m., Royal Gardens on Newbury Street. Calling party reports there is an owl, or hawk, in front of the restaurant. He is unsure if it injured. Animal control officer picked up red-tailed hawk.
At 3:11 p.m., fight reported at the Carroll School on Northend Street. Two juveniles got into a fight. Juvenile checked out by the school nurse.

At 4:35 p.m., burglary reported on Brown Street. Caller reported her mother came home and someone had broke down her front door. Reporting party stated that he believes jewelry was taken.
At 4:39 p.m., fire on newbury Street. Sparks, smoke and flames shooting out of exterior outlet. Extinguished.

At 6:53.p.m., motor vehicle stop at Logan Express on Newbury Street. Mary e. Clark, 45, of Attleboro, arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
At 11:05 p.m., gas odor on Redberry Lane. Possible gas service leak from a rooftop unit. Peabody Fire Department gained entry, and the unit was filled with gas. Firefighters opened windows to vent. Owner and National Grid contacted. Gas was shut off and unit was locked.
Wednesday, March 4
At 8:44 a.m., suspicious person on Andover Street. Reports of a person wearing all black standing on snowbank waving what appeared to be a handgun. Ofifcer located the man who confirmed he was the one on the snowbank, but he did not have a handgun. Told officers he was holding a cellphone.
At 1:51 p.m., abandoned vehicle at Century House Restaurant on Andover Street. Owner not around. Tow company called. Officer located the owner who decided the park the vehicle in the middle of the roadway. Tow company was cancelled. Citation issued to a Linden, N.J. man for for impeding operation of a motor vehicle.
