Police: Intoxicated Man Stated He Had a Bomb in His Bag; 17 Rims/Tires From 2015 Infiniti Q70's Stolen From Auto Dealer Lot; Kids Throwing Rocks

Wednesday, June 3

At 3:37 p.m., suspicious activity on Margin Street. Received a report of kids throwing rocks down the hill. Prior to the officer’s arriva,l a resident spoke w/the youths. They apologized and their mother is aware.

At 4:41 p.m., road rage incident and erratic operator on Andover Street. Officer spoke to both parties.

At 7:48 p.m., suspicious activity on Lynn Street and Coolidge Avenue. Report of an unattended 2 to 4- year old child walking barefoot. Child went down to the end of the street to await the arrival of his grandparents and uncle.

At 8:36 p.m., suspicious activity at Peabody Market on Foster Street. Clerk reported that a man had an argument with someone outside, and then came into the store. The man appeared to be angry and stated he had a bomb in his bag. He left the market on foot. The clerk stated that the man may have been intoxicated, Clerk provided a description of the suspect, and officers stopped him by D&R Market. Officers spoke to the man and realized he was intoxicated, and the bomb threat was unfounded, Officers spoke to the man’s brother, who took the intoxicated man home.

At 10:59 p.m., disturbance on Columbia Boulevard. Cody A. Howell, 25, of Peabody, arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Thursday, June 4

At 6:01 a.m., hit and run accident on Margin Street. Salem PD received a call about a hit and run accident. The suspect struck an orange Jeep. The suspect vehicle was stopped near Treadwell’s Ice Cream. One vehicle towed. Chin Nguyen, 56, of Haverhill Ma will be summoned for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with property damage.

At 9:58 a.m., counterfeit bills received at Santander Bank on Lowell Street.

At 10:25 a.m., vandalism on Washington Street. Owner of D’Orsi’s Bakery and Delicatessen reported that a landscape island was vandalized.

At 12:44 p.m., larceny at Kelly Volkswagen Storage Lot on Andover Street. Six vehicles were propped up overnight: Three vehicles had the passenger windows smashed, 17 rims/tires from 2015 Infiniti Q70’s were stolen.
