Police: Over 50 Geese Cause Traffic Problems, Burglary, Council on Aging Bus Accident

At 2:57 p.m., shoplifting reported at Sears. A couple bottles of cologne stolen.
At 5:39 p.m., shoplifting reported at TJ Maxx. James E. Kelly, 68, of Everett, will be summoned for shoplifting.

At 11:08 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Route 128 north. Verbal warning for speeding.

At 2:34 a.m., fire reported on Lake Avenue. Caller reported his house is filled with smoke, but does not see any fire. Issue with the microwave.
At 6:20 a.m., wire down on Central Street. Cable wire, utility company notified.
At 6:33 a.m., burglary reported at Ampet on Lowell Street. Reports of a past break and enter in the garage. Forced entry to the rear door into the mechanics’ bay, then the door/window from the mechanics’ bay to the main office. Approximately $300 in cash was missing.
At 8:28 a.m., neighborhood dispute on Aborn Street. Caller reported an ongoing snow removal dispute with the snow removal personnel at neighboring apartments.
At 9:52 a.m., shoplifting at Brookstone. Caller requested to speak to an officer regarding a shoplifting incident from the previous day. A wireless outdoor speaker approximate value of $169.99 was stolen.
At 10:53 a.m., motor vehicle accident on Andover Street. No injuries. No tows.
At 12:03 p.m., parking enforcement on Foster Street. Four vehicles tagged,
At 12:06 p.m., motor vehicle accident at Dunkin Donuts on Central Street. Caller reported being struck by a Council on Aging bus. No injuries. Bus driver given written warning for marked lanes violation.
At 1:01 p.m., animal control at Shaw’s Supermarket on Andover Street. Reports of over 50 geese in the parking lot causing a traffic problem. Animal control officer made calls from the station to mall management and wildlife officials. Spoke to management at Northshore Mall security. Manager advised that they are aware of the situation and have been attempting to deal with the issue.
