Police: Report of Man Urinating in Veterans Park; Juvenile Hopped Fence to Run Away from DYS School; Sholifting Arrests

Friday, April 10
At 1:49 p.m., motor vehicle stop on School Street at Franklin Street. Kerry Greenlaw, 36, of Peabody, arrested for operating after license revocation and speeding.
At 3:01 p.m,, shoplifting at JCPenney. Shoplifter detained by loss prevention. Thomas Loretta, 50, of Lynn, was arrested for shoplifting by concealing merchandise, and five counts of possession of Class C drug, subsequent offense.

At 4:09 p.m., neighborhood dispute on Magnolia Way. Tenant- management company dispute.
At 5:01 p.m., warrant arrest at Grossman’s Bargain Outlet on Foster Street. Luis A. Vega, 48, of Salem, detained for a default warrant out of Essex Superior Court.

At 5:11 p.m., shoplifting at JCPenney. Poonam Borot, 23, will be summoned for shoplifting. Value of shoplifted goods was $97.
Saturday, April 11
At 3:01 a.m., fight in progress on Walnut Street. Report of four people fighting in the street.Turned out to be friends were outside making noise. Three went inside, and one was driven to Salem, without incident.
At 11:30 a.m., road hard on Lynnfield Street. Large pothole. DPW notified.
At 12:43 p.m., suspicious activity on Walnut Street. Report of a male party urinating in the Veterans Park. Officer’s located the man in front of the Central Bakery on Walnut Street. Officers spoke to the man, who denied urinating in the park. He had alcoholic nips on him and was verbally trespassed from Veterans Park.
At 5:00 p.m., runaway from DYS school on Lowell Street. DYS reported that a juvenile jumped a fence and ran away. Officers checked area, and were unable to locate the juvenile. Entered into system as missing. Juvenile has ties to Lawrence.
At 9:30 p.m., motor vehicle accident at the Salem Country Club on Forest Street. Car flipped over. No injuries reported. Vehicle towed.
