Police: Shoplifter Charged With Assault and Battery, Larceny by Check at St. Ann's Church, Tax Fraud Reported

Sunday, March 22
At 2:20 p.m., fraud reported on Avalon Drive. Woman reported a Comcast account opened in her name at a New Jersey residence.
At 3:30 p.m., shoplifting at JCPenney. Dylan Moise, 21, of Groveland, was arrested for shoplifting, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

At 5:55 p.m., neighborhood dispute on Linden Road. Incident over animal excrement. Issues resolved.
At 7:38 p.m., larceny at St. Ann’s Church. Larceny by check for $850. Michael Torrence, of Peabody, was summonsed to court for larceny over $250, and forgery of a negotiable instrument.

Monday, March 23
At 9:42 a.m., motor vehicle accident on Central Street. No injuries. One vehicle towed.
At 11:36 a.m., fraud on Flynn Road. Person walked into the library and wanted to make a report of identity fraud. He stated that someone had filed a tax return under his name.
At 1:10 p.m., suspicious activity in Smokey Bones parking lot. Female called and stated that she saw a male and a female trying the door handles on three vehicles parked in the lot. Parties located; denied wrongdoing.
