Police: Shoplifting; Reckless Driving; Disorderly Conduct Arrests Over the Weekend

Friday, July 10

At 10:32 a.m., shoplifting in the vicinity of Nordstrom. Officer was flagged down by Nordstrom’s security.officer who reported the store’s security was pursuing a shoplifter. Benjamin King, 28, of Medford, arrested for larceny over $250, possession of burglarious tools and two warrants.

At 2:46 p.m., vandalism on Tamarack Lane. Caller reported the rear window in her car was damaged between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

At 7:50 p.m., assist citizen on Central Street and Warren Street. Passerby reported that four children were sitting in the middle of the road and refused to move. Officer spoke with the youths, advised them to stay out of the street.

At 9:15 p.m., shoplifting at Macy’s. Report of a disturbance involving two males and a female. Mara J. Driscoll, 36, of Reading, was arrested for shoplifting over $100.

At 11:37 p.m., unwanted party on Fulton Court. Francisco Garcia, 25, of Peabody, will be summonsed for two counts threat to commit a crime, to wit murder; and malicious destruction of property over $250.

Saturday, July 11

At 4:11 p.m., motor vehicle accident on Central Street. Minor accident, no injuries reported.

At 8:27 p.m., larceny on Andover Street. Woman reported that her handicapped parking placard was stolen.

At 10:18 p.m., assault and battery at Mobile Estates on Newbury Street. Thomas M. Kearney, 35, of Lynn, will be issued a summons for assault and battery.

Sunday, July 12

At 1:38 a.m. motor vehicle accident on Main Street at Washington Street. Multiple calls that a vehicle crashed into a traffic signal pole at the intersection. Neil Whittredge Jr., 21, of Lynn, will be summonsed for reckless operation of a motor vehicle. He was transported to an area hospital. Vehicle was towed. PMLP responded to assess the damage.

At 4:33 a.m., disturbance in area of McDonald’s’ on Main Street. Report of a party being held in a vehicle on Main Street. Officers reported party took off towards/down Caller Street. Lilliana M. Palomo, 22, of Beverly, arrested for disorderly conduct and four warrants.

At 1:07 p.m., suspicious activity on Fairmount Road. Report of two suspicious people in the area. Kimberly Townsend, 44, of Peabody, was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
