Police: Snow Blower Stolen From a Driveway; Drunk Driving Arrest, 2nd Offense; Hit and Run Accident

Wednesday, Feb. 11

At 3:54 p.m., larceny on Reo Road. Snow blower stolen from a driveway.

At 4:02 p.m., assist citizen on Beckett Street. Weight of the snow on the iron damaged the fence. Snow was plowed over and it could not carry the weight, causing damage.

At 5:43 p.m., two-vehicle accident in the Petco parking lot on Sylvan Street. Vehicle involved in a hit and run on Route 1 on Danvers. Erratic operation of a vehicle in Middleton reported, State police enroute.Sarah S. Corbin, 30, of Groveland, arrested for operating under the influence, second offense.

At 10:40 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Lowell Street. Verbal warning marked lanes.

Thursday, Feb. 12

At 3:01 a.m., three vehicles tagged on Swampscott Avenue for parking ban violations.

At 3:32 a.m., three vehicle tagged on Washington street for parking ban violations.

At 9:06 a.m., hit and run accident at One Stop Market on Aborn Street. Salem Police called in a hit and run motor vehicle accident. A white van pulled off into the parking lot of One Stop Market, no reported injuries. The vehicle received no damage, and driver was unable to obtain another license plate.

At 9:22 a.m., walking reported Western Union fraud on Nancy Avenue.

At 10:05 a.m., parking enforcement at Mill Street Municipal lot. 30 parking permit violations issued. Two vehicles still snowed in.

At 10:40 a.m., assist citizen on Stevens Street. Caller reported a large piece of ice fell on her vehicle and caused damage.

At 12:37 p.m., harassment at Peabody District Court. Caller reported she was being followed by a man in a gray car. Officer reported that the man was from Unity Surveillance and investigating.
