Police: Student Struck by a Pedestrian, Carbon Monoxide Alarm Warns Homeowner of Boiler Problem, Tax Fraud Reported

Wednesday, March 4
At 3:09 p.m., large pothole on Lowell Street reported. DPW notified.
At 3:11 p.m., assist Fire Department at Main and Foster streets. Large water break in the building.

At 4:32 p.m., arrests on Central Street. James Cronin, 47, of Peabody, was arrested for a warrant for armed robbery out of Lynn District Court. John L. Karavolas, 52, of Peabody was summonsed for a harassment order violation, threat to commit a crime and witress intimidation.
At 6:43 p.m., assist merchant on Main St. McDonald’s staff reported multiple 10-13 years children who had previously been told to leave that are now loitering and harassing customers as they are going into the business.Officer spoke to all involved parties; sent on their way.

At 10:56 p.m., carbon monoxide poisoning on Harris Street. Carbon monoxide alarm sounded. Gas was turned off at the boiler. Resident was advised to call a plumber.
Thursday, March 5
At 7:39 a.m., pedestrian accident on Shamrock Street. Caller reported a vehicle struck a juvenile in the street.Victim is a student at the Carroll School with difficulty communicating due to a language barrier. The juvenile was transported to North Shore Children’s Hospital by Atlantic Ambulance.
At 8:28 a.m., parking complaint at Center School on Irving Street. Officer issued parking tickets to four motor vehicles for being illegally parked and he issued one citation to a driver who for passed a school bus while the red lights were flashing.
At 12:24 p.m., report of possibly impaired driver on Andover Street. Caller reported that the operator of a van cut her off and had scraped her side mirror and was stumbling when she exited her vehicle. She did not want to report any damage to her vehicle. The officer checked the area and the vehicle was no longer in the parking lot.
At 1:10 p.m., fraud reported on Price Road. Female walked into the station and wanted to report fraud that someone had fraudulent filed a tax return using her name.
