Police: Swans Taking Over Barnes and Noble's Parking Lot, Stolen Vehicle Reported, Motor Vehicle Accident

Thursday, Feb. 26

At 2:07 p.m., motor vehicle accident on Endicott Street. Tractor-trailer hit two traffic signs.

At 3:10 p.m., animal control. Called Animal Rescue League regarding the swans in the parking lot of Barnes and Noble. ARL advised they are aware of them, but there is nowhere to relocate the swans to at this time. NE Wildlife is full, as well as every other sanctuary. Woman at league stated she would discuss with her supervisor and call back.

At 9:27 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Washington Street. Aaron W. Powell, 28, arrested for operating after license suspension, uninsured motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and outstanding warrant out of Quincy District Court.

At 11:53 p.m., stolen vehicle on Aberdeen Avenue. Walk -in reported that her son refuses to return the rental vehicle she let him borrow.

Friday, Feb. 27

At 7:44 a.m., motor vehicle accident on Bartholomew Street. no injuries. No tows.

At 11:07 a.m., animal complaint on Quail Road. Reporting party stated that two dogs constantly bark during early morning and evening hours. She also related they bark at her aggressively and could potentially escape the yard because, of the snow banks. I directed her to call the animal control officer when the barking violation occurs.
