Raccoon Break-In, Prank Misunderstanding, & More: Peabody Police Log
A prank between high school students, cemetery lock-in, and more from the Peabody Police log.

- A window on Veterans Memorial Drive was accidentally broken on Monday around 1 p.m. by some kids playing softball.
- A shopping cart full of trash was left near a home on County Street on Wednesday around 11 a.m.
- Animal Control responded to a report of a raccoon trying to enter a Roosevelt Avenue home through an air conditioning unit on Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. Officers couldn't get to the animal as it was under the porch.
- Police responded to a report of a person smashing the window of a parked car with a baseball bat on Lowell Street on Wednesday around 8 p.m. Officers found that the person with the bat and the car's driver are teammates on a high school sports team, and the incident was a prank with a mini baseball bat.
- Robert M. Doyle, 56, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon on someone over the age of 60, and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon. Officers made the arrest after someone reported a man with a knife at a Lowell Street business trying to "shake the owner down for money" on Thursday around 11 a.m.
- A police cruiser was scratched after a dog jumped on it in the area of Corbiel Park on Russell Street on Thursday around noon.
- Someone located an owl on Central Street on Thursday around 4 p.m. The animal was brought to a rehab center.
- Yan Carlos Morel, 32, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of drunken driving, and failing drive within marked lanes on Thursday around 10 p.m. after a traffic stop on Washington Street.
- A parent teaching her child how to drive accidentally got locked in Harmony Grove Cemetery on Friday around 8 p.m.
- Anthony T. Nguyen, 23, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of larceny over $250, and shoplifting on Saturday around 6 p.m. from an Andover Street business.
- Amy Perkins, 26, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of drunken driving and negligent driving on Sunday around 9 p.m. on Washington Street.
- Kelsey M. Russell, 23, of Arlington, was arrested on charges of drunken driving, and negligent driving on Sunday around 10 p.m. on Gardner Street.
- Frank Mejia, 22, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a household member on Sunday around 11 p.m. on Sanborn Street.
