Read to Lydia the Comfort Dog this summer at the Peabody Library's South Branch!
Lydia the comfort dog loves to listen to someone reading. Can you read her a story?

Come to the South Branch to meet Lydia! Lydia is a gentle, compassionate service dog who loves to have people read to her. Can you spend 15 minutes reading her a story?
This is a great opportunity for elementary school kids of all ages to practice their reading skills in a safe, comfortable environment. Lydia doesn’t judge or get frustrated; she just loves to hear stories. It’s also a great opportunity to work towards summer reading minutes goals. Minutes spent reading to Lydia can definitely be logged!
If you’re interested in booking a 15-minute session to read to Lydia, please register online, by calling 978-531-3380 or stop by in person. Siblings are welcome to share the time with Lydia together, but time spent with Lydia is best kept to 1-2 people. Caregivers are welcome to attend, but should not register.

Lydia will be visiting the South Branch of the Peabody Institute Library, located at 78 Lynn St. on Thursday, July 14th at 2PM; Monday, July 25th at 10AM; and Tuesday August 2nd at 10AM.
