Recruits Graduate From Massachusetts Firefighting Academy
The 24 graduates, all men, represent the 18 fire departments in Massachusetts.

The Peabody Fire Department had three recruits among the 24 graduates from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy last week: Matthew McKinnon, Sean Dolan and Luke Murdoch.
State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan and Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Director George D. Kramlinger announced the graduation on Monday of the 224th class of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy’s 45-day Career Recruit Firefighting Training Program.

“This rigorous professional training provides our newest firefighters with the basic skills to perform their jobs effectively and safely,” said State Fire Marshal Coan in a news release. The Massachusetts Firefighting Academy, a division of the Department of Fire Services, offers this program, tuition-free. The graduation ceremony took place at the Department of Fire Services in Stow, Mass.

The 24 graduates, all men, represent the 18 fire departments of Billerica, Clinton, Cotuit, Dracut, Dudley, Hudson, Hyannis, Ludlow, Mashpee, Maynard, Methuen, North Reading, Peabody, Plymouth, Taunton, Weston, Wilmington, and Woburn.
